Well, I think it is ashame that we can't download commercially this fine and great records [I am willing to pay say Euro 10,00 each album] but most of them are catching dust in offices from recordcompanies. And to be honest, I buy also a lot of downloads, but I can't even find this type of music, so we must help eachother ....

P.S. If anyone has complaints [e.g. because of a commercially release]I'll delete immediately the files, because Artists also have to make a living and I am one of them.....

It is a shame that those who take dont give their hidden records that are only aloud to be among the elitsts....but those elitists are willing to grab others stuff....
Oh well!

Big thanks for all you have done to allow others to have such treasures and may the treasures continue

Yeah man, you're definitely doing your part to keep the genre alive. This is pretty much all I listen to now.

Thanks for the shares, it is appreciated.

But I must say regarding "elite" avenues for music that some of you have the wrong idea. While I appreciate blogs that share music publicly, I have respect for those who share music on a private basis.

I am a member of a lossless site that is mostly underground. When a member puts in the time to share something from their collection, they often prefer to keep it within the community. Now I could start re-sharing these albums all over the place, but don't you see how that would be a scumbag move? I'm sure I'd get a lot of compliments, but I'd be breaking the trust of the community. And for what -- the gratification of anonymous leechers filling up hard drives?

It's not hard to understand why someone wouldn'tt want their rips all over the web ... posted by people they don't even know ... who are happy to take credit for something they did nothing to create ... posted on blogs that are just long lists of links ... downloaded by hundreds of people who don't purchase music and want everything for free.

Yes, I download public files but I also respect the wishes those who want to keep it private. It's just basic integrity, yet I see people calling me "greedy" "elite" "hipicrit" for this?

I do agree with some of your points. Some people (leechers) do intend to simply download as much as possible to amass a library. Whether they've ever contributed anything remains to be seen. Others simply download everything and keep what they like. And then there are those who are opposite the leechers... the ones who would seem to not have a want for anything but will come out of the woodworks to snag something rare.

There are things posted here that I've bought and now I wish I hadn't because I could have gotten it free. On the other hand there are things posted that I was about to buy but didn't and now I'm glad because I didn't like it.

I don't know the full scope of the library community but it does seem quite secretive and unwelcoming to "outsiders." I'm not fortunate enough to be able to go crate digging in europe or to have business done in my currency. So I'm at the mercy of the internet whether it's p2p, blogs, dealers, auctions, and exchange rates. An elitist would deem me unworthy on those things alone.

Those of you who do have "everything," why not post reviews? Dealers are usually ridiculously vague with descriptions and god forbid you have a question. I would have more motivation to buy if I knew what I was buying. I've taken some shots in the dark and missed, but I've also been spot on.

At the end of the day, it all depends on whether you care more about the music or your prestige. This issue will never be resolved because there will always be someone willing to take one for the team.
