I just emailed him via his (truly hideously designed) website and asked if he ever planned to reissue any of his solo albums, but he just said he was offering some for download. There were a few titles up for a while, but someone hacked into his account and crippled everything, so that section of his site is still sitting idle.
When I told him I had a vinyl copy of "Images of Flute in Nature" he said that even he didn't have that one. I felt so bad I nearly offered to send him mine! Nice guy, at any rate!
True, I am a composer/musician myself and the recordcompanies are not friendly for their artists, they are often only bookkeepers.... [but to be honest: now [I've searched for a few years] I've got a real good publisher]
For me me he is a great inspiration, extremely fantasy-full music, fresh and bright and optimistic. Unbelievable that he is not commercially released, if I'd the money I'd do it myself.....

Hey, do you happen to know the correct Coloursound catalogue number for "Open Air Impressions"? I only know it was from the 1980s.
It is CS9.

Ah hah - thank you!
Yeah, it seems Vandroogenbroeck did the first ten or so Coloursound releases (and many more of course).
I've chatted with him a few times. Very nice guy.
You have? Truly? Did you have an o0pportunity to discuss the legendary Brainticket with him?

Yes archigram, litlegrey and phylips, he's a very very nice person, he's making some noise here in México where he lives now, well... in Jalisco. I'm planning to travel there and hear his new sound.

Good vibes.
PS. Thanks again Phylips for the JVDB albums.
